Electrical Distribution and Technology
March 14, 2009 If you've ever watched one of the television shows titled "Magician's Secrets Revealed", you know that these shows were created to expose the tried and true tricks in the hopes that new tricks would be developed. They wanted to raise the bar on the world of Magic.
MyElectricalSpace.com was created to do something similar for the world of Electrical Distribution. We want to offer an alternative voice, a new idea, an explanation, or a critical look at trends or technologies and their value to the industry.
Electrical Distributors make a significant investment in inventory, buildings, vehicles, and personnel. They are often left with few resources to evaluate technology and its true impact to their bottom line. We'd like to offer a helpful blog experience that highlights, analyzes, or peels back the layers of existing or emerging technologies and their impact to a Distributor's bottom line.
Technology can have a significant impact on the bottom line in either an extremely negative or positive way. MyElectricalSpace.com would like to be a resource that helps with the latter and avoids the former of these two sides to technology. We think the industry could use another resource or voice to filter through the information age and all that it throws at us.
Technologies can be embraced too soon, too late, or not at all, all of which are decisions that can impact your business. So when do you pass? when do you adopt? when do you watch and wait?
We hope to help with this challenge. Electrical Distribution is a vital part of getting electrical parts from the manufacturer to the consumer and sprinkling a little strategic technology can make it a Magical experience. Check back often and we'll help you figure out what to sprinkle.
